Event Review: Blogkla Wine & Whiskey Tasting

On August 10th 2018, Blogkla held it's first Wine and Whiskey Tasting Event. The event took place at the Fairway Hotel, Asian Fusion Restaurant's gorgeous rooftop patio on a beautiful Friday evening.

For the wines, the focus was on "New World" wines and the bottles poured were two reds from Argentina and Chile and two whites from California and Australia. The two whiskeys poured were Glenlivet and Glengrant.

The event attracted wine lovers from all over Kampala and turned into a networking event where patrons shared their love for wine, business contacts and lots of laughter.

Anakena Vinedos De Chile - Cabernet Sauvignon (Chile)

Condor Peak - Malbec (Argentina)

Nottage Hill - Chardonnay (Australia)

Delicious grilled meat provided by the asian fusion restaurant

Blogkla founder Mimi welcomed the guests and introduced the wines and whiskeys.

George the sommelier led guests through the tastings by explaining each wine and whiskey in depth. Guests were taught the art of wine tasting by observing the five S's of See, Swirl, Sniff, Sip and Savour.
